Opinel maintenance oil is used to grease blades and ferrules and to nourish handles as well wooden cutting boards.

It's easy to use. After cleaning and drying the knife with a soft, dry cloth, simply apply a few drops of oil to a cloth and rub the blade and ferrule. Wait until the blade is dry before closing it. Handles should be greased evenly everywhere with a few drops of oil applied to a cloth.
